FLORENCE ELLEN MacEACHERN Florence Ellen MacEachern, 95, of Rainycrest Home for the Aged, 550 Osborne St., Fort Frances, Ont., and formerly of Emo, Ont., passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2004 at her residence after a brief illness. Florence was born March 25, 1909 in Glenboro, Man. She moved to Emo, where she lived for many years until moving to Fort Frances in 1959. She had worked as a telephone operator in her younger years before she was married. She was a member of Knox United Church in Emo. Florence was united in marriage Oct. 24, 1936 to Elmer James MacEachern, who predeceased her on Jan. 27, 1993. She also was predeceased by her parents, George and Jennifer McFarland; and brothers, Raymond and Russell. Florence is survived by her two daughters, Myrna (Peter) Martin of Toronto, Ont. and Karen (Brian) Houghton of Fort Frances, Ont. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Murray (Prem) Martin and their sons, Collin, Devin, and Sean, all of Calgary, Alta., Karen Martin of Toronto, Ont., Melanie (David) Lehman and their daughters, Abbie and Ashley, of Marissa, Ill., and Bradley (Tracy) Houghton of Fort Frances, Ont., and their daughter, Jacki-Lyn of Winnipeg, Man.; her sister-in-law, Edith Ogden of Fort Frances, Ont.; and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date.
