PAMELA DORA DeVALL In loving memory of Pamela Dora DeVall, who passed away Dec. 3, 2004 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre in Dryden, Ont. She was born Dec. 30, 1927 in Lancing, Sussex New England and she was married there Feb. 22, 1944. She came to Canada in 1946 as a war bride. She belonged to the War Brides Club in Fort Frances, Ont. for many years. She lived in Fort Frances most of her married life, moving to Dryden with her husband in 1988. Pamela is survived by her loving husband, Richard Arthur DeVall; and children, Hilary Reynolds (Mic) of Dryden, Ont., Richard DeVall (Connie) of Thunder Bay, Ont., Christine Luchka (Bill) of Dryden, Ont., Lyn Powne (Joe) of Dryden, Ont., Jill Fielder (George) of Dryden, Ont., and Faye DeVall (Gerry) of Dryden, Ont. She also is survived by her sister, Christine Green of England; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, John Hackman of England. Pamela love to play Bingo and read. She was good with her hands and loved to do cross-stitch and crewel embroidery, as well as spend many relaxing hours putting together jigsaw puzzles. She loved the out doors and enjoyed fishing. Pamela also loved to travel and enjoyed long drives in the country with Dad. She and Richard were married for almost 60 years, and loved to joke that they married so young that they grew up together. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004 at 1 p.m. in St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Dryden, with Rev. Pat Cleghorne officiating. Interment of ashes to be held at a later date. If friends so desire, in memroriam donations may be made to Northern Cancer Research through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, Ont., P8N 2X3.
