JOHN STEVEN CRAWFORD It is with great sorrow that the family of J. Steven Crawford announces his sudden passing at La Verendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont. on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004. Steve was born March 24, 1954 in Hamilton, Ont. As a young man, he moved to Winnipeg, Man. and had worked with the Hudson Bay Company in their northern stores. In 1985, he settled in Fort Frances, starting his career with the CIBC, working his way to Account Manager Personal Banking. On May 16, 1986, Steve and Lynne were united in marriage, and this union gave him two daughters that he cared for deeply. Steve was very involved in his family’s lives, especially his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, woodworking, and bike riding with his wife. He leaves behind his wife, Lynne; daughters, Shelley (Randy) Dahlin of International Falls, Mn. and Denice Sjoblom of Fort Frances, Ont.; grandchildren, Jessica McEvoy, Zachary Dahlin, Caleb Dahlin, Hannah Dahlin, and Aaron Dahlin; father, Harold Crawford of Hamilton, Ont.; brothers, Andy (Janet) Crawford and Bill (Mary) Crawford of Caledonia, Ont.; and nieces and nephews, Matthew, Melissa, and Nicole Crawford. Steve was predeceased by his mother, Jessie Crawford; father, John Thomson; and brother, Jim Crawford. A visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 10, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Rev. Marietta Marshall will officiate, with interment in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances. The pallbearers will be Andy Crawford, Bill Crawford, Randy Dahlin, Art Carpenter, Blair Plourde, and Dan Clarke. The honourary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Jessica McEvoy, Zachary Dahlin, Caleb Dahlin, Hannah Dahlin, and Aaron Dahlin.
