ALLEN, Robert Harvey - August 23, 1929-December 27, 2004 - Harvey went peacefully in his sleep, after a courageous fight with cancer. He leaves to mourn, his wife of nearly 53 years, Inez (Kelly), his children: Kenneth (Lorna) of Toronto; Kathleen (Shaun) Fleming of Edmonton; Stephen (Kathy) of New Westminister, British Columbia; Robert (Jenny) of North Bay; Maureen (Jean) Lebeau of North Bay and Elizabeth (Dave) Moynes of Corbeil, and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Alberta) Allen of Brampton and Reverend Richard Allen of North Bay; his sisters Alma Todd of Burford, Ontario and Sister Kathleen Allen of the Sisters of Service, Toronto. Predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Harvey was a Letter Carrier with the North Bay Post Office for 30 years. He was a charter member of the Gateway Horseshoe Club and recently received his Lifetime Membership in the club. He was an ardent sports fan and used to umpire softball games. Harvey was also a member of the Holy Name Society and the Men's Club at Corpus Christi Church where he used to call the bingos. He will be missed at maple syrup time, an activity he greatly enjoyed. Harvey will be cremated. No visitation, with interment in the spring. There will be a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, January third at Corpus Christi Church on Cassells Street. Friends are invited. Please join us at a small reception in the church basement after the service.
