HENTHORN, George Leslie. 1923 - 1998. Signalman, R.C.N.V.R. WWII. Retired Vice President and Comptroller Bell Canada. Past Chairman Financial Executives Institute of Canada; Past Area Chairman Financial Executives Institute of America. Retired Director of Lakeshore General Hospital. Class Agent McGill University Alumni - Class 1949. George passed away on July 27, 1998. The son of the late Albert Leslie Henthorn and Gertrude Hooton Henthorn. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife and best friend Marion Alleyne Payne; his dear daughter Lesley Alleyne, wife of F. Graham Thouret (of Toronto) and dear son George Thomas Henthorn (of London, Ontario); also his cherished grandchildren Ashley Alleyne and Adam Graham Thouret, his sister Shirley Kinnard and her family (of California); his brother-in-law George Brenton Payne and his wife Joyce Anderson (of Toronto) and many friends and faithful colleagues. Visitation at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 222 Highway 20 (Cartier exit 49), Pointe Claire, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel Friday at 11 a.m., thence to Mount Royal Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation or McGill University Alumni Foundation would be appreciated and acknowledged by the family.
