DAVIES, Florence Elsie (nee Clendenning). Peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 1998 in her ninety-eighth year at Etobicoke General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Albert Victor Davies of Montreal and dear mother of Professor Alan Davies and mother-in-law of Marilyn. Dear grandmother of Dr. Andrew Davies (wife Judy) of Belleville, Ontario, and Alison Davies of Toronto. Dear great-grandmother of Jeremy and Melanie. Predeceased by ten sisters and brothers. Kind and generous, serene and loving, she was the best of mothers. No son was ever more fortunate. A funeral service will be held at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto, at Windermere near the Jane subway, on Wednesday, August 5 at 7:15 p.m. Interment Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
