JAY, Haskell Campbell. At the Montreal Chest Hospital on August 4, 1998, Haskell Campbell Jay of Montreal, at the age of ninety. Loving husband of the late Irene Margaret (Joyce). Admired father of Bill (Carol York) and Lynne (Clarke Madgett). Grandpa will be missed by his grandchildren, Robert and Peter Jay, and Tom, David and Shirley Madgett. Brother of his dear sisters Elizabeth (Betty) Dadmun, Minnie Jay and Sarah (Sally) Hopperton. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Mildred, Edward, William, George, John and Ruth. Will be fondly remembered by nephews and nieces and their families, as well as many former co-workers and neighbours. He was a faithful member and elder of Montreal West United Church. Dad's first love was his family, especially "Honey", his wife and friend from school days. He came from a close-knit family and worked hard to communicate its values to his own family. A time for visiting and sharing warm memories with friends and family will be held at Montreal West United Church, 88 Curzon, Montreal West for an hour preceeding a service of Remembrance and Celebration on Friday, August 7 at 2 p.m. at the church. A light reception will follow immediately in the Ross Hall, providing further opportunity to remember this special man. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Centre for the Arts in Human Development (Concordia University), 7079 rue de Terrebonne, Montreal (Qc), H4B 1E1, or Summit School for the Developmentally Disabled, 1750 rue Deguire, St. Laurent (Qc), H4L 1M7, or Montreal West United Church, would honour his life.
