PHALEN, Beatrice (nee Jubin). After a lengthy illness, passed away at the Verdun General Hospital on August 4, 1998 in her ninety-fifth year. Beloved wife of the late Ross Phalen. Dear mother of Bill (Mildred) of Edmonton, and the late Leona. Foster mother of Helen, Lil, Vera and Sidney. Dear grandmother of fourteen, great-grandmother of twelve and great-great-grandmother of four. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Mrs. F. Page, a very good friend, also to Dr. Marchand and staff of the 3rd floor Palliative Care Unit of the Verdun General Hospital, the C.L.S.C. - Verdun and the V.O.N. for their kindness and thoughtfulness. Resting at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Directors, 5644 Bannantyne Avenue (corner Beatty Avenue). Funeral service in the chapel on Friday at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the V.O.N. or the Canadian Cancer Society would be indeed appreciated. Visitation Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
