RUTTER, George Edward. (Federation Insurance of Canada, Montreal Retired). Peacefully on Saturday, August 8, 1998, at the Ottawa General Hospital, George Edward Rutter, aged eighty-seven years, beloved husband of Norma Ibbotson-Garnham and the late Viola Elliott. Dear father of Allan and his wife Mariette of Fenelon Falls, Ontario and Carol Ann Rutter of Sarasota, Florida. Grandfather of Susan, Bruce, Shelley and great-grandfather of Robert and Jeffrey. Family and friends are invited to assemble in Saint Patrick's Basilica, Ottawa for Funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 11 at 1 p.m. Cremation and interment at Notre Dame des Neiges, Montreal at a later date. In memoriam donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McEvoy Shields Funeral Home. The family would like to give special thanks to the Doctors and staff of the Intensive Care Unit, Ottawa General Hospital for all their loving care and support.
