MARY I. DONOGHUE (nee Mulrooney) Mary passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on August 4, 2004. Mary was born in Marlbank; oldest child of Rose and Stan Mulrooney. On August 11, 1948 she married Gerald F. Donoghue of Enterprise. They were blessed with eight children; Adrian (Raymonde), Paul (Ann), Barb MacDonald (Andy), Greg (Lynn), Joan, Anne Cortis (Mario), Gene (Sylvia), Barry (Maryanne); as well as fourteen grandchildren; Alexia, Anthony, Leanne Sibbald (Shane), Dan, Angela, Lisa , Andrew, Tom, Geoff, Stephanie, Eric, Mark, Nathan, Myles; and one great grandson Lucas Sibbald. Mary is survived by her brothers Kevin Mulrooney (Dorothy) and Joseph Mulroney (Yvonne), sisters Dorothy and Maureen Little (Mike), many nieces and neph ews. She was predeceased by her parents Stan Mulrooney and Rose Corrigan, two infant brothers, her brothers Tom, Gerald and Harold, sisters Agnes and Helen and in-laws Elaine and Roy. The funeral was held at St. Joseph's Church, Kingston where Mary's nephew Fr. Joe Moran of Peterborough said the funeral mass assisted by Msgr. Lynch, Msgr. Clement and Fr. McAvoy. The homily given by Msgr. Lynch captured beautifully the essence of Mary's life; her faith, her family, her friends and her teaching ca reer. The pallbearers were Mary's grandsons Dan Donoghue, Andrew MacDonald, Anthony Donoghue and nephews Michael Mulrooney, Barry Mulroney and Michael Little. On this beautiful summer day Mary was laid to rest next to her husband Gerald at Annunciati on Cemetery with Fr. Moran and Fr. P. Murphy present. The CWL of Annunciation parish provided lunch at the parish hall opposite the church, which Mary and Gerald attended until 1965 when the family moved to Kingston. Mary had a strong interest in gen ealogy and because of her extraordinary memory was regarded as the family historian.
