PLUNKETT, Rita (nee Gabourie) (Reg. N. Retired) Peacefully, at the Rosewood Retirement Centre, Kingston surrounded by her five children on September 15, 2004. Predeceased by husband Edgar, daughter Joan, granddaughter Kimberly Sleeper, great granddau ghter Tallulah Sleeper and beloved companion John McNeil, her parents and all her brothers and sisters. Dear mother of Michael of Hamilton, Elizabeth Sleeper (Nick) of Oakville, Patricia Clarke (Robert) of Kingston, Margaret Latimer (Jack) of Nunavut , Daniel (Barb) of St. Catherine's. Cherished grandmother of 18, great grandmother of 12. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Rita will be especially missed by nephew Jerome and Sheila Genore of Tweed. Rita's family would like to express their heart felt gratitude to the staff at Rosewood for their care over the past five years and especially during the past week for their support and loving care to Rita and her family. Special thanks to Father G. Byrne for his friendship and pastoral care over many years. Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy Street) on Friday between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Paul the Apostle Church on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
