PHILLIPS. Barbara Peacefully at Providence Manor on September 25, 2004, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of 63 years to Roy Phillips, much loved mother of Robert Phillips, Gordon Phillips (Cheryl), Cathy Phillips and Nancy Overington (Murray). Cherishe d Grannie of Bryce, Mylo, Sarah, Tao, Jordan, Dario, Louise, Tomah, Jeff, Palu and Dante. Great grannie to Atreyo and Coast. Born in Vancouver, where she graduated from UBC before traveling to Peterborough to marry Roy, her university sweetheart on M ay 24, 1941. Founding member of the St. Lambert Toastmistress', president of the Home and School, and always a very active member of the United Church. Barb was a devoted visitor to nursing home residents and other shut-ins for many years through her church. The family is very grateful for the care Barb herself received from the wonderful staff at Providence Manor, her family doctor Dr. Barb Parker, and her ministers, Rev. Wayne Hilliker and Rev. Sharon Cohoon. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (Counter Street at Highway 2). Memorial Service to be held in the chapel on Saturday, October 9, 2004 at 3 p.m. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the service time. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations made to Chalmers United Church or Providence Manor would be appreciated by the family.
