GAGE Mary-Alice (Allie) Patricia. Unexpectedly at Ottawa General Hospital on onday, September 14, 1998. Born July 27, 1917 in Montreal. This gracious woman, always with a smile and a twinkle in her eye, had a distinguished career with the VON in Quebec and after retiring continued to live to the fullest, spending summers in Nova Scotia, travelling and painting. Beloved sister of Dodie, now residing at Island Lodge in Ottawa, Marnie and her husband Bill Spearman of Port Moody, B.C. and Charles (Chick) and his wife Doris of Newcastle, Ontario. Loving aunt to Mark and Gisela Van Steen of Toronto, Chris and Shirley Van Steen of Pickering, Ontario, Paul and Marnie Van Steen of Kanata, Glynis Van Steen of Toronto, Suzanne and her husband Gerry Teoli of Unionville, Ontario and Evan and Andrea Gage of Columbia, South Carolina. Loving great-aunt to Brian, Kimberley, Alexandra, Eric, Emma, Karen, David, Derek, Graham and Jeff. Friends may visit at the McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street, Ottawa on Friday, September 18, 1998 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, September 19, 1998 from 10 to 12 noon. Funeral service is on Saturday, September 19, 1998 at McEvoy-Shields at 2 p.m. In memoriam donations to the VON or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
