SAVAGE, June (Hillier) June Margaret Savage (nee Hillier), daughter of Robert & Amelia Hillier, wife of Bernard (Bud) Savage who predeceased her on May 20, 1981, passed away last August 8, 2004 in Grand Cache, Alberta while visiting her daughter. Bel oved mother of Leslie Savage (Leonard) & Paddy (Stephanie) Savage. Survived by sister Thelma Cheney (Alf) of Oakville, brothers Cue (Maggie) Hillier of Kingston, and Bob (Theodolus) Hillier of Kingston. Predeceased by her brother Gilbert Hillier who is survived by his wife Ruth. June is also survived by grandchildren Trina (Chris) Christian of Cayman Islands, Tom (Vanessa) Savage of Kingston, Mat Savage of Maple Ridge & Doug Savage of Vancouver and 3 great grandchildren Andrew Christian (Cayman Islands), Zachariah & Isabella Savage (Kingston). June Margaret was born in Kingston June 9, 1925 and joined the Navy as a WREN in WWII. She served in Halifax before returning to Kingston in 1945. After working in the Army as a clerk in Germany, she returned to Canada to fill several post in D.N.D., Parliament Hill and the Solicitor General's Office until she retired in 1974. All donations in her name may be sent to your local Drug Rehabilitation Centers. The Memorial Service will be held on Thu rsday, June 9, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Lutheran/Union Cemetery in Odessa (Ham Road). Afterwards a tribute will be held at Paddy's Pub, 490 Stone Street South in Gananoque to honour June. 6/8/2005- ID6389191 - Kingston Whig Standard
