MAKI, Ilma Viola Pauline (Lahti) In loving memory of Ilma Viola Pauline (Lahti) Maki, 78 years, who passed away Saturday morning, January 3rd, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. Born in South Porcupine, she married Taisto in Copper Cliff in 1942. She worked for the Town of Walden then for the City of Greater Sudbury for 20 years at the Walden Senior Citizen's Building, retiring in 2001. She was a Past President of the Walden Senior Citizens Club, a past member of the Water's Women's Institute and she was a former teacher with 4H. Ilma lived an active and engaged life, she enjoyed bowling. Beloved wife of Taisto Maki predeceased November 8th, 1986. Loving mother of Margretta (husband Tom Corrigan) of Sudbury, Brenda (husband Stan Punkari) of Worthington and Deborah Ullman (partner Mic) of Port Alberni, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Scott (wife Pam), Kevin (partner Cass), Kristin (husband Michael), Rebecca, Jon and great grandchildren Jacob, Katie, and Kailer. Dear daughter of John (wife Olga predeceased) and Margretta Lahti both predeceased. Dear sister of Birgitta (husband Niilo Leino) of Levack. Dear sister in law of Alli predeceased. Memorial Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Monday, January 5th, 2004 at 10 am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
