WYLIE, Mildred Ida Mable (nee Pakkala) In loving memory of Mildred Ida Mable Wylie (nee Pakkala), 70 years, who passed away Friday morning, January 23rd, 2004 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site after a courageous battle with cancer. Mildred was born and raised in Copper Cliff living her life in the Sudbury area. She was an avid crocheter in her younger days. She loved to draw. Mildred had a very special and extremely close bond to her granddaughter Eleisha. She will be also missed by her feline companion Harley. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Beloved daughter of Senja (Niemi) and Matti Pakkala both predeceased. Loving wife of Roy Wylie predeceased 1991. Beloved mother of Sheeila Dembek (husband Anthony) of Sudbury and Doug (wife Linda) of Windsor, Ontario. Beloved grandmother of Eleisha Dembek, Jared, Meghan and Devin Wylie. Dear sister of Pauline Liscum (husband John) of Worthington, Viola Pakkala of Sudbury, Vivian Chalut (husband Cleo) of Copper Cliff, Lempi Smith of Mindemoya, Karena Don (husband Wes) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Beulah Pakkala of Sudbury, Bob Pakkala (wife Mary) of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Adrian Pakkala (wife Paulette) of Vernon, B.C., Ted Pakkala (wife Irene) of Sudbury, Raymond Pakkala of Sudbury and predeceased by her sister Lillian Minsky, and brother John Pakkala (wife Norma of Sudbury). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Bud Wylie (wife Jean) of L'Amable, Ontario, Milly Warner of Surrey, B.C., Thelma Blomme (husband Gerry) of Osooyos, B.C., and predeceased by brothers-in-law Norm and Doug Wylie. Special thanks to Dr. Snider, Dr. Bertrand, nurses on 5th floor SCU at St. Joseph's Health Centre, 2nd Floor nurses at St. Joseph's 4th and 8th floor nurses Laurentian Hospital Site. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. At Mildred's request there will be no service, no visitation, cremation with interment and services of the remains at the Ahmic Harbour Cemetery.
