PILBACKA, "Jack" Jaakko Kalevi In loving memory of Jaakko K. "Jack" Pilbacka, 55 years of Whitefish, who passed away Saturday, February 7th, 2004 at his residence. He was born in Finland. Jaakko came to the Sudbury area in the late sixties from Finland. He was a miner at Falconbridge Ltd. having 30 years service. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew's Finnish Lutheran Church. He was an active person belonging to the Penage Road Senior's Club and in younger days played baseball at the Voima Club. A great outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing especially his hunting trips with his buddies in the Peter Lake Hunt Club. He also spent many happy times at his camp on Lake Penage. Beloved father of Liisa and Robert both of Whitefish. Husband of Marilyn (Lahti) Pilbacka. Cherished son of Reino and Siiri (Ahonen) Pilbacka predeceased. Loving brother of Tapani (wife Kyllikki) of Sudbury, Sisko (husband Erkki Lamminen) and Tapio (wife Kaija) both of Finland, Ritva (husband Kjell Jansson) of Sweden, Irja Ahonen and Hannu (wife Marja-Terttu) both of Finland. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Service in the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St., at Hazel St., Wednesday, February 11th, 2004 at 5 pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Canadian Mental Health or St. Matthew's Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated. (Friends may call after 2 pm Wednesday). 2/9/2004- ID3410083 - Sudbury Star
