HARDACRE, Jack In loving memory of Jack Hardacre, 87 years, who passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2004 at the Extendicare York after a brief illness. Jack apprenticed in England as a Universal Miller and Gear Cutter, immigrating to Canada in 1951 where he worked as a mechanic for INCO for over 30 years, retiring in 1981. He lived in Willisville and moved to Lively in 1955. Jack was a proud Yorkshireman, highly opinionated, frugal by nature, but generous of heart. Family and his Anglican faith were at the center of his being. He was a licensed layreader and a strong supporter of Christ Church parish. He had served as President of The Creighton Mine Credit Union for several years. Jack was recognized for his many blood donations by the Canadian Red Cross. He was a member of the INCO Quarter Century Club. Devoted husband of Kathleen (Sharp) for nearly 65 years. Loving father of Derek (wife Marlene) and Winston (wife Yvonne). Cherished grandpa to Darrel, Tammy (husband Wesley Chapleau), Kelly (husband Jeremy Laliberté), Sarah, and Heather (partner Bob Armstrong). Great grandpa to Reanne and Tristan. Dear son of Richard and Sara Jane (Roff), both predeceased. Dear brother of Willie and Richard, both predeceased. A memorial service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, 231 6th Avenue, Lively on Saturday, February 21, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. (Friends may gather at the Church after 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Reception to follow in the parish hall). Donations to Christ Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
