Cornwall physician from 1960-1991 and World War II Veteran Lieutenant with the S. D. & G. Highlanders of Ottawa; age 84 years. Beloved husband of the former Claire Marie Coupal. Dear father of Claire-Anne Lalonde of Ottawa, John Lalonde (Debbie) of Cornwall, Louise Lalonde (Owen Toop) of Victoria, B.C., Charles Lalonde, M.D. (Mona) of Colorado Springs and Joseph Lalonde (Tracey) of Cornwall. Predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne Lalonde. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Christopher, Andrea, Caroline, Sophie, Michelle, Emily and Emerson. Dear son of the late Alfred John Lalonde, M.D. and the late Rose Healy. Predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Lalonde. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, Cornwall (1-613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday, April 30, 2004 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Columban’s Church, Cornwall at 11 a.m. Spring interment, Notre Dame Cemetery, Cornwall, Ontario. The family will be in attendance from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral on Friday.
