CHAN, Dr. David The family announces with great sorrow the death of Dr. David Chan on Thursday, June 10, at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, at the age of 53. Dr. Chan was born in Hong Kong and came to Canada in 1972. He started his practice in Sudbury in 1978 soon after he finished his medical training at the University of Toronto Medical School. For his tireless care, he will be remembered for his devotion to his patients. A man of faith he was an active member of the Sudbury Chinese Missionary Church where he served as a deacon and emjoyed its fellowship. He shared his great joy of living with friends in CHANO, actively promoting multi-cultural activities. He was proud of his community and worked to make the place he loved a better place to live. Beloved husband of Sau-Ching and loving father of Carrie and Jessica, he will be cherished for his tender love and devotion to the family. He will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends.
