Marion Elizabeth GOODE

MARION ELIZABETH (GOODE) HODGINS Marion Elizabeth (Goode) Hodgins passed away Saturday, April 24, 1999 at West End Villa in Ottawa, Ont. She was the daughter of the late Allan and Jean Goode (Forester); wife of the late F.W. (Bill) Hodgins; mother of Maureen (John Allistone); and Nan of Brendan and Devon. Born in Port Perry, Ont. in 1910, she graduated from high school with a scholarship at 16. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Pedagogy degrees from the University of Toronto, then taught English and Business Skills for 35 years in Midland, Hamilton, Fort Frances, and Thunder Bay. During her retirement, she authored textbooks which have been used in North American high schools for the past 25 years. The family thanks the wonderful staff at West End Villa for their unfailing compassion and support. Marion was truly fortunate to have been in their care.
