HELEN HALLICK It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Helen Hallick, on April 5, 1999 at Riverside Health Care Facilities. She will always be lovingly remembered by daughters, Millie and husband, Don Witherspoon, and Gladys Robinson; sons, Ken Hallick and wife, Linda, and Howard Hallick; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Pat Becker and Lizzie Larabie. Helen was born in Cobalt, Ont., where she married Sine on Aug. 11, 1938. They moved to Atikokan in 1947 with their three small children, where she remained until after the passing of her devoted husband in 1987. She then made her residence with her daughter, Millie, and family, and enjoyed tremendously her many visits as she travelled to her children’s homes over the past years. During her lifetime, she made many friends and brought smiles to the faces of those who knew her. She will be remembered as a cheerful and outgoing person. We will miss her sharp wit, pies and cakes, berry picking, jams and jellies, and her love of teasing. Helen was cremated and rests with her husband, Sine, at the Little Falls Cemetery in Atikokan, Ont. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
