Derek Whittle April 09, 1929 -August 25, 1999 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Burlington Chapel) Peacefully after a courageous battle with M.S. on Wednesday August 25, 1999 at the Hamilton General Hospital. Derek aged 70 of Burlington. Dearly beloved husband of Joan (nee Mercer). Dearest Dad of Diane and her husband Jeremy Palmer of Alton, David of Burlington, Paul and his wife Anne-Marie of Bowmanville, Karen and her husband Steve Breitner of Hamilton. Proud grandad and papa of Adair and Michelle Palmer, Kutis and Drake Whittle and Sarah and Jonathon Breitner. Dear brother of Raymond and his wife Margaret. Uncle of Janet, Alan and their famlies of England. Dear brother-in-law of Glenys and her husband Abe, uncle of Jane, Janet and their famlies of Grunthal, Manitoba. Will be dearly missed by his family and friends in the Table Tennis Group. Derek was a retired employee of Stelco (Central Engineering) with 21 and a half years of service. Joan and family send special thanks to all the nurses with the VON Halton (Burlington East Team) and Personal Care Worker Judy Arnott for her care and dedication. Also thanks to Dr. deVillier, Dr. Davis & the I.C.U. east nurses. All the nurses and staff of Ward 7 South, Dr. Lattimer, Ingrid and Traci of Palliative Care Team.
