KLAPOWICH, Jacob "Jake" 87 years. On October 16, 1999, at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus. Resident of Brouillette Manor. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Farrand). Loving father of Sandra Pesut and her husband Gerald, Sherie Charron and her husband Chris, all of Michigan, and Karl and his wife Denise of Windsor. Loved grandfather of Kristine and husband Richard Smith, Jennifer Kennedy, Jason and Jaclyn Klapowich. Dear step grandfather of Noelle and Matthew Charron. Dear brother of Wanda Lawrence. Predeceased by Anne Craig, Joseph and Edward. Jacob was an employee of Ford's for 41 years, a life-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #255, and a veteran of W.W.II, R.C.E.M.E. Visitation will be held Monday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Legion service will be Monday 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers Monday 7:30 p.m. Funeral will be held Tuesday, October 19, 1999, at 9:00 a.m. from Marcotte Funeral Home, 870 Wyandotte St. East (977-9277), to St. John Vianney Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. A tree will be planted in memory of Jacob Klapowich in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest.
