BERNARD BIRD Bernard Bird of Green Manor, Fort Frances, Ont., passed away at La Verendrye hospital Sept. 14, 2000. He was born March 8, 1927 in Fort Frances. He is survived by children, Bradley Bird, Edward Bird and friend, Mary, Bonnie Tolzman and husband, Brian, Beverly and Bob Smith, and Michael Bird. Also surviving are grandchildren, Joshua and Rea Tolzman, Bobbie Sue, Shauna, and Katrina Smith, and Toshina; brothers, Ernie and wife, Judy, Dick (Rose), and Ed McLeod (Betty); and sister, Marion and husband, Gerry Smith. He was predeceased by his mother, Agnes McLeod, stepfather, Ed McLeod, and wife, Darlene Perrault (Bird). Pallbearers were his nieces and nephews. Funeral services, with Father Eugene Whyte officiating, will be held Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at Couchiching, Ont.
