Edgar Joseph Dion, 27 Stewart, Apt. 3, Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on May 5, 2000. He was 68 years old. Mr. Dion was born Sept. 11, 1931 in Smooth Rock Falls and was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked as a pipefitter until retiring in 1991. He enjoyed socializing, reading and listening to music. Mr. Dion was predeceased by his parents and brother Claude. He is survived by wife Cheryl, sons Denis (Diane), Michel, and Jacques (Lynn), all of Kirkland Lake, Luc (Clara) of Espanola, Gerald and Daniel (Sylvie) of Mattice, and daughter Suzanne (Daniel) Fleury of North Bay. Also surviving are sisters Irene Begin and Lorraine Rombough of Kap and Colette Piche of Moonbeam and brothers Raymond and Lucien, both of Kap. Mr. Dion had 15 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his first wife Emilie Dion of Mattice. Rev. Paul Letendre directed the funeral service at Immaculée Conception. Mr. Dion will be interred at the Kapuskasing cemetery.
