Marie-Anne Osoba, 54 Blvd. De L'etang, Kapuskasing, died in Sensenbrenner Hospital, Mar. 10, 2000, after a long illness. She was 63 years old. Ms. Osoba was born in Strickland, Mar. 17, 1936. She worked as a housewife and mother. Ms. Osoba was predeceased by her parents, Jean Benjamin Deschamps and Marie-Anne Labonte, sons George and Peter, and daughter Mary. She is survived by her husband George Harry Osoba of Kapuskasing; daughters Christina (Fred) McEathron of Cambridge, Ontario, and Patricia (Roberto) Sartoretto, of North Bay; sisters Gisèle Pronovost of Norembega, and Rita Cyr of Malartique; brothers René Deschamps of Sudbury, Roger Deschamps of Hearst and Paul Henri Deschamps of Malartique. Ms. Osoba had three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The funeral was held Mar. 13 at Nortre Dame des Victoires church. She was cremated by J. H. Fleury.
