Mederic "Mickey" Lefebvre, 2 Kimberly, Kapuskasing, died at Sensenbrenner Hospital on Jan. 12, 2000. He was 76 years old. Mr. Lefebvre was born April 26, 1923 in Moonbeam. He worked as a millwright for 41 years at Spruce Falls Inc. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 85, served in the second world war for five years was a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and enjoyed working around the house. Mr. Lefebvre was predeceased by his wife Lucia in 1974. He is survived by sons Ron and Gerald of Kap and daughters Lynn (John) Szczaurski and Denise (Bob) Godin of Kap, Lyse (Ray) Kempi of Burlington and Carole (Gord) Reed of Kitchener. Also surviving are sisters Rita (Rene) Morel of Kap and Rose Gervais of London, brothers Omer of Elliot Lake, Maurice of Toronto and Victor of Penetanguishene, and two daughters-in-law Betty-Jean and Patricia. Mr. Lefebvre had 11 grandchildren. Rev. Léo Papineau directed the funeral service at St. Patrick Church. Cremation at J. H. Fleury Crematorium in Rouyn-Noranda.
