Joyce KOURY

ALLEN, Joyce (nee Koury). Died on Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at Markham Stouffville Hospital after a courageous battle against cancer. Joyce Allen was the beloved wife of John Norman. Loving mother of Jennifer and Christie and dear sister of Jeff Koury and Gale Koury Joenfing. Joyce Allen (nee Koury) was born in Montreal in 1940, the eldest daughter of the late Philip Deeb Koury and May Penny Koury. Joyce Allen taught countless children during her thirty years as an elementary school teacher in the public school system in Quebec and Ontario. Visitation at Urgel Bourgie Funeral Complex, 1255 Beaumont Thursday, February 24 from 7 to 9 p.m and Friday starting at 10 a.m. at St-George Antiochian Orthodox Church, 555 Jean-Talon East followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. Thence to Mount Royal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
