CLENDENNING, Gordon Of Espanola passed away peacefully at the Morgan Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida on Thursday, February 24th, 2000 in his 69th year. Cherished husband of Evelyn Bourcier-Clendenning of Espanola. Dear son of the late Olive (1965) and Hilliard (1964) Clendenning. Very dear stepfather of James Bourcier (wife Jan) and William Bourcier (wife Claudette) both of Espanola. Will be sadly missed by step grandchildren, Todd, Candace (husband Greg Hall), Andrew, Matthew, Natalie and James. Loving brother of Edward Clendenning (wife Joy) of Toronto and the late Hilda Mullins (1993), Gladys Johns (1997) and Kenneth (1948). Gordon was a University graduate. He retired as auditor for the Federal Government on September 5, 1986 after 34 years. Friends may call at the BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME, Espanola on Tuesday, February 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass from the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Espanola on Wednesday, March 1st at 10:00 a.m. with Father James Ketzler officiating. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery. If so desired, Memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. The Sudbury Star
