Bertha CRUIKSHANK

CRUIKSHANK BERTHA, SISTER, C.S.C. (Sister Mary Gregory) Peacefully at Ottawa on Friday, February 25, 2000, Sister Bertha Cruikshank in her 85th year. Survived by her brother Greg of Alexandria and her religious family of Holy Cross. Predeceased by her sisters Mary Laporte and Kay Cruikshank. Sister Bertha taught in Alexandria, Ont., Ottawa, Ont., Clayton, N.Y., Rouses Point, N.Y.and served for twenty years as a missionary in Moricetown and Smithers, B.C. with the Carrier Indians. Friends may call at McEvoy Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road at Albion Road, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Mass Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Monica's Church, (Merivale Road, south of Slack Road). Sister will then be transferred to Saint Joseph's Pavillion, St. Laurent, Quebec for a Liturgical Service to be followed by interment in the Cemetery of the Sisters of the Holy Cross.
