MAYO, John S. (Sawatis). 1940 - 2000. At Kahnawake on February 28, 2000 at the age of fifty-nine years. Beloved husband of Bessie Winona Phillips and father of Joseph (Mary), Tracey (Herby), Quentin (Konwen:ni), Mark (Loris) and Darryl. Also survived by two grandchildren Kawennenha:wi and Kahneki:io, his great-grandson Thakwirare, his sister Winona and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at The Legion Hall, Branch 219, Kahnawake. Funeral will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 2 p.m. at the St-Francis Xavier Mission. Interment at Kateri Cemetery. Visitation from Tuesday at 11 a.m.
