CHARBONNEAU, Leo-A. In loving memory of Leo A. Charbonneau, 83 years of Sudbury who passed away Wednesday evening, March 1st, 2000 at the Extendicare York. He was born in Messine, Quebec in 1916. Mr. Charbonneau served overseas during W.W.II as a tail gunner with the R.C.A.F. He was employed as a miner and as an insurance salesman and as a salesman for Copaco Meats for several years. Leo enjoyed his time as a sales representative as it allowed him to drive and to meet and talk to many people; two things he loved to do. Some of Leo's greatest pleasures in life were spending time with his family, making frequent trips to the prairies to help with the wheat harvest and as a hockey fan, cheering for Montreal Canadiens and the North Bay Centennials. Leo also enjoyed and was well known for calling the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 87 bingos and the Civic Service Association monster bingo's in the Kirkland Lake area for many years. Beloved husband of Rosina (Lebeau) predeceased 1993. Loving father of Patrick (wife Judy) of New Liskeard, Rachel (husband John Tomac) of Kirkland Lake, Shirley (husband Barry Webster) of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Linda (husband Richard Jones) of Falconbridge, Patricia (husband James Armstrong) of Ottawa, and Irene (predeceased). Loving son of Alexander and Simone (Lamoureux) l'Ecuyer (both predeceased). Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Annette Young (predeceased). Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. Funeral Prayers at the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Saturday, March 4th, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday and after 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
