BURNS, Elmer W. In hospital, Carleton Place on Monday, March 13th, 2000. Elmer W. Burns in his 65th year. Son of the late Harris and Viola (Jackson) Burns. Beloved husband of Norma M. (Churchill) Burns. Elmer was the loved brother of Ken (Lorna) Burns of Lanark and the dear uncle of Barbara Burns, Evelyn MacPherson, Doreen McLaren, Paul and John Burns and the late Elaine and Colleen Burns. Elmer will be sadly missed by his 3 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews and many friends. Friends may pay their respects at the Young Funeral Home, Lanark, Tuesday, March 14th from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in St. Andrew's United Church, Lanark, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery. In remembrance, contributions to the Memorial Fund of St. Andrew's United Church or the Diabetic Society would be appreciated.
