NANTAU, John Keel It is with sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving Father/Papa, John Keel Nantau on March 16, 2000 at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Phyllis Ann (Sept. 29, 1999). He is the dear and loving father of Kathryn Ann and loving and devoted Papa of Jenna Rose and Connor Victoria Moulder. Dear friend of Jerry Cardillo. Predeceased by his parents Francis (1975) and Edna (1962), brother Dick (1941) and sister Eunice (1975). Dear brother of Eilleen Freed, Wayne Mich, Maxine Badder, Bernice Brouillette (Peter), Douglas, Vern (Terry), Cecil (Betty), Beverly Lefaive (Bob) and Virginia Scurto (Frank). Dear friend and brother-in-law of Daniel O'Connor. He also leaves behind many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mr. Nantau was active in sports, playing hockey and baseball throughout the city. He remained active in his retirement with the Roseland Seniors' Curling Club, Club 55 Golf League and bowling. He retired after 43 years of dedicated service at Hiram Walker & Sons. He was also active with the Goodfellows Club. Visitation will be Fri. 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. and Sat. March 18, 2000 from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10:15 a.m. from Janisse Brothers Funeral Home, 1139 Ouellette Ave. to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Prayers Fri. 7:30 p.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. A tree will be planted in memory of John Nantau in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000. All are welcome. Over these long six months for Dad there have been many people who helped care for him-we thank you. To Cecil and Betty-your love, strength and support for Dad is truly an inspiration-thank you will never be enough. Dear Dad, your love, encouragement and patience will be in my heart always. May you be at rest and in peace and finally with the one you truly love.(The Windsor Star)
