PINEAU Mary Electa,, Sister, (Gabrielle Marie) entered Eternal Life on Saturday, March 18, 2000, at the Ursuline Convent Infirmary at age 85. She was born in Amherstburg, Ontario, the daughter of the late Ernest Francis Pineau and Ann (Sullivan). She was in the 65th year of her life as an Ursuline Religious at the Diocese of London. Sister spent her life teaching in the elementary schools in Chatham, Essex, Tecumseh, Windsor, London and Toronto. She is a former superior of "The Pines, Glengarda, Windsor and St. Angela's, London. After her retirement, she spent nine years in Stratford volunteering at Birthright and at the library at St. Michael's School. She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Charles (1976) and Ernest Norman (1982). Visitation will take place after 3:30 p.m. on Monday, March 20 at "The Pines", Chatham. Family and friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community in the celebration of Sister Electa's life at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Family Chapel. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 21st at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family Chapel, 64 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
