DUMONTIER, George Marcel Died peacefully after a brief and courageous battle with Cancer at W. R. H. - Met Campus, on Wed. March 22, 2000, in his 56th year. Best friend and cherished soulmate of his wife Mary (nee Labute). Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Marie-Louise. Devoted father of Gisele and husband Leonard, Denise and husband Steve, George Jr. and Caroline and loving step-father of Jay and Craig. Beloved brother of Nelson and wife Ellen. Precious grandfather to Jenifer, Lisa, Bradley, Samantha, Megan and Mason. Dear uncle of Chris and Greg. George was retired from Daimler Chrysler after many years of service. George's magnetic personality and love of life, family closeness and friendship will be sadly missed by all. Heartfelt gratitude to the outstanding care given to George by Gentiva Health Services, especially by Nurses David Shaw and Denise Leboeuf and the nurses at Met Campus, 4N. Oncology Unit. As an expression of your sympathy, donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital Oncology Furnishing Fund in memory of George Dumontier would be sincerely appreciated by the family. Visiting will be held on Sat. 7-9pm. and Sun. 7-9pm. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no afternoon Visitations. The funeral will be held on Monday March 27, at 9:30am. from the Melady Funeral Home and Chapel, 572 Notre Dame St., Belle River, (728-1500) then to St. William Church, Emeryville for Mass at 10:00am. Prayers Sun. 8pm. Interment St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. A tree will be planted in memory of George Dumontier in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000.(The Windsor Star)
