FOURNIER, Rene. At the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Monday, March 27, 2000. Joseph Rene Real Fournier (retired employee of the Montreal Gazette for over thirty years) of 1540 Champagne Avenue; age sixty-six years. Beloved companion of Mary Lou Gustin and by a previous marriage, Yvette Beauchamp. Dear father of Daniel Fournier (Diane) of Ste-Marie-de-Beauce, Quebec, Denis Fournier (Meancy) and Helene Fournier (Rafik) both of Brossard, Quebec. Loving grandfather of Jean Philippe, Karolanne, Sophie, Kalianne, Myrian and Sarah. Dear son of the late Francois (Frank) Fournier and the late Dianna Carriere. Dear brother of Romeo Fournier, Robert (Bob) Fournier (Aline), Mrs. Ramona Ames and Mrs. Doreen Martin all of Cornwall, Ronald Fournier (Iris) of Kelowna, B.C., Mrs. Desneiges Aubin of Oshawa, Veronica (Mrs. Alex Summers) of Carleton Place, Marguerite (Mrs. Jules Delorme) of Orleans and Doris (Mrs. Richard McAdie) of Surrey, B.C. Dear brother-in-law of Mrs. Gaston Gadbois of Ajax. Predeceased by two sisters, Mrs. Jeannine Gadbois and Miss Fleurette Fournier. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, West Branch, 20 Seventh Street West, (613-932-8482) from 2 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Friday, March 31, 2000 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis de Sales Church at 2 p.m. Spring interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. The family will be in attendance from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday and from 12 noon until time of Funeral on Friday. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
