BENOIT, Leo Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Tilbury Manor Nursing Home on March 29, 2000 at the age of 77 years. Loving husband of Annie Benoit (nee Lansue) for 52 years. Dear father of Gene Benoit and friend Liz Traynor, Gloria and husband Dick Nussey, Bob Benoit and wife Vina, Annette and husband Morris Jackson, Moel Benoit and spouse Liz Priebe, Dan Benoit, Kathy and husband Keith Gerow, and Allan Benoit. Dear brother of Dorothy McKinlay, Bertha Pickering, Madeline Donahue, Corine Bechard, Lorine Goodreau, and the late Clarence Benoit (1999). Dearest grandfather of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. Leo was a member of Branch 241 Royal Canadian Legion, Comber, and served overseas with the Royal Canadian Regiment during World War II. Visitation at Reaume Funeral Home, 6 Canal St. W., Tilbury, Friday 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Legion service at 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service from the funeral home Saturday, April 1, 2000, at 10:00 a.m., then to St. Francis Xavier Church, Tilbury for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice gratefully acknowledged.
