BERLIN, Lillian (nee Kotofsky). Passed away at home on Wednesday March 29, 2000, after a courageous battle. Leaving to mourn her beloved and devoted husband for over sixty years Max (Mac), her loving children and their spouses Bonnie Levinson (Michael), Michael (Micheline), Larry (Molly Hilsenrath), her grandchildren, whom they adored as their "Mama Lil", Jonathan, Bram and Lawrence Levinson, Katia (Michael Seligman), Jason, Carly and Maxine Berlin. Beloved sister of Belle Kasoff (George) of New York, Murray Kay of California, Anna Kaufman (Sam), of California. Special thanks to Dr. Michael Dworkind for his exceptional care and devotion way beyond the call of duty. Thanks to Rabbi Mark Friedman for his wise counsel and compassion during her last difficult days and special thanks to Grace for her outstanding care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon West, on Friday, March 31 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery, de la Savane (C-1). Shiva at her home, 5570 Randall Ave., C.S.L., evening services at 7:30 p.m. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lillian Berlin Memorial Fund for Palliative Care, c/o the Jewish General Hospital Foundation, 340-8251.
