MARCUS, Retta (Florette). Surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 30, 2000. Beloved wife of Mandy Marcus. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Herta and Morry Ghingold of Kingston, Pennsylvania. Cherished granny of Bryan, Matthew and Danielle. Dear sister-in-law of Devy Marcus, Nina and Jacky Gabor of Israel. Sadly mourned by her nephew and nieces and many wonderful close and dear friends here and in Miami who will forever have a hole in their hearts. Special thanks to Dr. Lawrence Rosenberg, Dr. Mark Thurwell, Dr. Andre Pasternak and the wonderful staff of the 18th floor, Montreal General Hospital for their outstanding care and devotion. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Sunday, April 2 at 1:45 p.m. Burial at the Independent Hebrew Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva between 2 and 4 and 7 to 9 at 5761 Cote St. Luc Rd., #105. Margaret Ploener, Helen Kaye, and Edythe Unterman and by her brothers-in-law John Unterman, Al Ploener and Harry Kaye. Survived by her sister Gladys Korman and her husband Nick and by her brother Jack Spinner and his wife Jean. Survived also by many loving nieces and nephews and other family members. Interment took place in Windsor, Ontario on March 16, 2000. Her zest for life and caring nature will be remembered by all who loved her.
