ALICE CARRIERE (Nee GUENETTE) 1934-2000 The family announces with sorrow her death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, April 1st, 2000, at the age of 65 years. Predeceased by her husband Armand Carriere in 1980. Dear mother of Elie Carriere (Cecile) of Timmins, Roland Carriere (Fay) of Sudbury, Jean-Guy Carriere (Florence) of Timmins, Suzanne Boisvert (Serge) of Toronto, Adrien Carriere (Linda) of Timmins, Maurice Carriere of Timmins, Gaetan Carriere (Ginette) of Timmins, Raymonde Ferrigan (Wayne) of South Porcupine, and Ernie Carriere (Annie) of Timmins. Loving grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Adrien Guenette (Judy) of Windsor, Ernest Guenette (Joyce) of Windsor, Laurier Guenette (Flora) of Timmins, Diane Gibbons (Jim) of Timmins, and Albert Guenette (Marguerite) of Windsor. Mother-in-law of Paulette Fleming. She was predeceased by her parents Zelema and Henry Guenette, her sons Rejean Carriere and Normand Carriere and her sisters Diane Carriere, Yvonne Guenette and her brother Leo Guenette. She will be sadly missed by all her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law on the Carriere side. She is survived by her life-long friend Alice (the late Rolly Lachance) of South Porcupine as well as her close friends at 646 Bartleman St. The family would like to thank the staff at the Timmins and District Hospital especially Chester and Dr. Lum. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. from St. Sauveur Church. Interment at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins. (The Daily Press)
