GUGER, Karin Luise. Suddenly on April 1, 2000 after a long and brave struggle with diabetes and kidney disease. She passed away at home in Burlington, Ontario in her sixtieth year, quietly in the arms of her faithful and devoted husband. Karin touched many lives and all those who knew her strength and love of others will remember her fondly. She is survived by her loving husband Richard, daughter and best friend Sharon and son-in-law Steven. She will always be cherished by her brothers John and Rudi Burghardt, her sister Edith Albrecht, and her nieces, nephews and their families. Karin was predeceased by her mother Ruth and father Johann. We will all miss her kind heart and warm friendship. A memorial service was held in Burlington on April 8. If you wish to remember Karin by a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the family would be appreciative.
