WHISSELL FONTAINE Jeannine 1933-2000 Peacefully, after a long, courageous battle with cancer, the family announces with sorrow her passing at Anson General Hospital, in Iroquois Falls, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2000, at the age of 67 years. Beloved wife of the late Florian Fon-Fon Whissell (1998) of Iroquois Falls and dearest mother of Robert of Squamish, B.C., Raymond (Linda) of Iroquois Falls and Rita (Louis) ChassÄ of Porcupine. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Lysa, Kari, Tracy Theobald, and Krista of Squamish, B.C. Proud great-grandmother of Brittaney Theobald-Young. Mrs. Whissell also leaves behind her brothers and sisters: Jacqueline Lefebvre, Jacques (Rolly) Fontaine, Yves Fontaine, Yvette Cosgrove, all of Iroquois Falls, and Jean-Claude Fontaine of Mexico. A strong-spirited woman who will be loved and missed by many nieces, nephews and all who knew her. She was predeceased by her parents James and Antoinette Fontaine, and in-laws Betty Hodgins, Rita French, Clifford Cosgrove and Emile Lefebvre. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, April 12th, 2000, at 3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home Chapel with Father Edouard DelGuidice officiating. Spring interment at the Abitibi Cemetery.
