MORAND, George Joseph 83 years, peacefully, on April 16, 2000, at Hotel Dieu Hospital. Lifelong resident of Tecumseh. Beloved husband of 55 years to Madeleine (nee Gagnier). Loving father of Dolores (Dee) Barker, of Windsor; Leonard, of Tecumseh; Larry and wife Christine, of S. Woodslee; and the late Daniel (1989). Son of the late Albert and Lillian (nee Lassaline). Dear pepe of Matthew, Emily, and Wesley. Dear brother of the late Alec, Adeline Parent, Wilfred, and Antoine, and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. George was a Chrysler retiree after 32 years of service and was a member of the C.A.W. Local 444. Visiting on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service wil be held on Wednesday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m. from The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Rd., Tecumseh (735-2830) to the St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Diabetes Wellness Centre Windsor/Essex or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of George Morand in the Janisse, Marcotte, Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held October 1, 2000.(The Windsor Star)
