WELBURN, Sandy Joseph. Protestant School Board of Western Quebec, Former Principal of Wakefield Elementary School and Percival High School, Val d'Or. Unexpectedly in hospital while on vacation in France, on Monday, April 17, 2000 at the age of fifty-four. Beloved husband of Helen (nee Pringle). Devoted father to Allysun and Colin (Victoria). Proud grandfather of Anna. Brother of David and brother-in-law of Nancy. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Sandy will be remembered for his enthusiasm, gentle strength and the songs that were always on his lips. Sandy was devoted to his family, friends, community and will be dearly missed. Friends are invited to join the family at the McGarry Memorial Chapel, 139 Valley Drive, Wakefield, on Monday, April 24, from 10 am.m to 12 noon and from 2 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. to remember and celebrate his life. A memorial service is to follow at the Church of the Good Shepherd, River Road, Wakefield at 4 p.m. Sandy will be laid to rest at a private service in Arden, Ontario at a later date. In memory of Sandy, donations to Epilepsy Canada or to QUAIL House in Chelsea, would be appreciated.
