PARRAS _ Lorette Leontine (nee Lafreniere), born in Prud'homme, Sask., died peacefully at Chemainus Health Care Centre, April 24th, 2000 at the age of 80. Lorette was an R.N. and greatly enjoyed her profession before becoming ill and having to spend a number of years in hospital. She married her husband, Don Parras, in 1946 and later she and Don moved to Surrey, B.C. where they managed their small mink ranch and raised their daughter Sue. Predeceased by her husband Don, and her sisters, Lois Cyr and Rita Clare. She is survived by her daughter Suzanne; aunts and uncles Marie Webber, Irene (Bob) Mills, Lionel (Dorothy) Lafreniere; nieces Rita (Rob) Taylor, Donna (John) Rothel and many cousins and great-nieces and nephews. Lorette will be sadly missed by her family and friends but will always be remembered for her loving concern for others and courageous spirit. The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Manhas, Claude and Marie Burroughs of Sea Vista Manor and all the staff of Chemainus Health Care Centre who took such wonderful care of her during the time she lived in Chamainus. A Requiem Mass and Reception will be held at St. Bernadette's Church in Surrey, B.C., Thursday, May 4, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. FIRST MEMORIAL FUNERAL SERVICES 748-2134(The Vancouver Sun)
