MARSHALL, Douglas James. Peacefully at Ste. Anne's Veterans Hospital on Monday, April 24, 2000 in his eighty-eighth year. Beloved husband of Peggy (Menary) Gardner and of the late Mary Bruce. Dear brother of Jenny Dunlop. Loving father and father-in-law of Bruce and Shirley and Ian and Kathleen. Grandfather and great-grandfather of Brent and Valerie (Emma), Laura (Ashley, Tyler, Mackenzie), Deanna and Mark and Derek. Step-father, step-father-in-law and step-grandfather of Jim and Joan (Neil, Eric) Gardner, Bill and Carole (Deborah, Alison, Suzanne) Gardner, uncle and great-uncle of Billy Dunlop and Sheila Labelle. Resting at the J.F. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, 5784 Verdun Avenue, Verdun. Visitation Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sons of Scotland Service Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service at First Presbyterian Church, 501 Fifth Avenue, Verdun on Friday, April 28 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or First Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
