Leah Duffy (nee Larocque) 1912-2000 The family of Leah Duffy (nee Larocque) are deeply saddened by her sudden death at the Civic Hospital in North Bay, ON, on Wednesday, April 26, 2000, at the age of 87 years. Loving wife of the late Edward Duffy (1975) and dearest mother of Beulah (the late William, 1999) Sowa of Iroquois Falls, Gerard (Patricia) Duffy of Thunder Bay, Lloyd (Elizabeth) Duffy of Huntsville and Carole (Ronald) Seed all of Iroquois Falls. Much loved Nana of Jayne, Jacques, Marilyn, Patrick, Patricia, Dan, Judy, Doreen, Brad, Kelly, Bill, Carrie Ann, Gary, Kirby, Kelly, Ronnie, and Kacey. Special great-grand-mother of Kayla, Jonathan, Jade, Katie, Nicole, Jamie, Michele, and Emma Leigh. Mrs. Duffy also leaves behind her sister Charlotte (Gerry) Noel de Tilley in Windsor, sisters-in-law Beatrice Larocque and Carmel Lauzon and daughter-in-law Vivian Duffy. Mrs. Duffy was pre- deceased by her parents George and Sadie Larocque, and by two brothers Gerard and Julian, her sister and brother-in-law Florence and George Gignac, and her grandson Michael Duffy. Visitation will be held at Salon FunÄraire Irvine & Irvine Funeral Home, 641 DeTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls (232-4006 or 1-888-484-1111), on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church on Saturday, April 29th, 2000, at 10:30 a.m. with Father Edouard DelGuidice officiating. Interment to follow at the Abitibi Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. Duffy's memory may be made to Anson General Hospital or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.(The Daily Press)
