PATRY, Joseph Eugene "Gene" In loving memory of Joseph Eugene "Gene" Patry. The family announces with sorrow his death on Wednesday, April 26th, 2000 at his residence, in Chelmsford, surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old. Beloved husband and best friend of Alice (Cosgrove) Patry. He was employed at Falconbridge from 1952, retiring in 1985. He spent many hours in his woodworking shop making gifts for his family. Gene enjoyed gardening and was an avid card player. He had a heart of gold and never missed an opportunity to help others. Gene and Alice enjoyed over 20 years of camping and fishing on Vermillion Lake. Any task Gene tackled he could always accomplish without fail, he had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humour. Although not always in the best of health, he never complained. Loving father of Doug (fiancee Marge MacDonald), Jim (wife Lori Labelle) and Norah (husband Denis Lamoureux) all of Chelmsford, Jane (husband Gerry Rodrigue) of Ottawa and Heather (husband Mike Duval) of Capreol. Cherished grandfather of Danny (predeceased), Jeffrey, Jason, James, Cindy, Kim, Meegan, Darren, Trevor, Renee and Matthew. Cherished great grandfather of Hunter and Dawson. Dear son of the late Marie-Louise and Delphis Patry predeceased. Dear brother of Remi, Lucien, Florence, Edna (predeceased), Leo, Bertha, Henry and Albert. Dear brother-in-law of Mildred Cosgrove. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. At Gene's request there will be No Visitation or Funeral Service. Cremation. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
